The University of Texas at Dallas is set to host its inaugural Week of AI, bringing together students, faculty, staff and industry leaders to explore the transformative power of artificial intelligence. This free, university-wide event will feature a series of discussions, demonstrations and interactive sessions aimed at understanding AI’s role in education, research, industry and ethics.
A Week of AI for Everyone
Week of AI will include diverse programming tailored to different audiences, including faculty, students, staff, administrators and industry professionals. The event will explore how AI is reshaping various fields while fostering responsible and ethical AI use.
Key Themes
- AI in Education: The impact of AI on teaching, learning and academic integrity.
- AI Research: Faculty and student-led research presentations on AI advancements.
- AI in Industry: Insights from AI companies.
- AI Ethics: Discussions on responsible AI governance and ethical considerations in academia and the workplace, including a student-led student panel.
Interactive Showcases and Competitions
Week of AI will also feature faculty and student research showcases, an AI Art Display, an AI Hackathon and a hands-on open house to use AI tools.
